Jon-e GI (Giant) Rebuild TIP.. Empty Jon-e GI (Giant) Rebuild TIP..

Tue Jan 15, 2019 9:30 pm
OK I got a TIP for you when working on the Jon-E GI or (GIANT) I put the whole square of Platinum in the Big spring I got from John. I put the filled spring all the way to the top of the RED hood. Could not get it to start its reaction at ALL. I looked at my Standard Size Jon-E HW and at my Peacocks and at my Hong Kong HW and notice the Element is way closer to the cotton batting. So I moved the loaded spring in the Red Head on the Jon-E GI down to the bent in tabs. I put them tabs in the center of the spring. Spring can not go up or down. I did a slight pre heat and the thing is putting off A TON OF HEAT.

Until this, I've been recommending that users put the spring as far up as it will go in the head, I will no longer do that. Thanks for the info!
